4/19/2024 - Had fun with Jenny at Stabbing Westward at the Black Cat tonight! Hit a ton of traffic on the way there and got there just in time for the show to start! Pretty fun event!!

Friday April 19, 2024:
I had been talking about going to Stabbing Westward with Jenny last year but then the singer got throat cancer and had to cancel a bunch of shows plus the closest one was all the way in Pennsylvania so when they announced the Black Cat I jumped on tickets right away! Luckily Jenny was in town this week and was able to go with me too! We got to the club just in time (despite all the traffic yikes!) to catch the opening act last song which was pretty forgettable and got seats at the bar! They played Violent Femmes Blister In The Sun as pre show music which was fun to hear! I was grateful Jenny brought some earplugs for us as the show was loud! It was great to see Stabbing Westward again. This marked the 4th time seeing them live, and even saw The Dreaming once too. Highlights included Ungod, Falls Apart, Burn (from the Crow), Sometimes It Hurts, What Do I Have To Do, Nothing, The Thing I Hate, and Waking Up Beside You. They closed with Shame and included some new ones like Ghost and Wasted. Was very glad to have gone and it was so close too! Yay!!
