Probably one of my favorite Virgin Mobile Free Festivals to date. This was the one that got me hooked and I mean HOOKED on Chromeo. Loved their set to bits, even if it was a bit packed in the dance forest! Was great to finally see LCD Soundsystem and Yeasayer too. Yeasayer was a little disappointing, not enough creativity live, just what you see is what you get. Pavement was way better than expected, though. Neon Indian was too packed to enjoy. Wolfgang Gartner seems to keep popping up everywhere. Joan Jett was pretty cool. Got to meet up with some friends at Thievery Corporation and another friend later in the day for Pavement and LCD Soundsystem. All in all, very fun time and glad I got free tickets, makes the day seem all that much more special when it's done right!
