9/5/2012 (Wednesday), Day 12:
I went to the airport in Beijing super early since I had no idea what to expect for lines but I ended up getting through everything like two and a half hours early! So I had noodles for breakfast that was really good for airport food! The flight was really easy too and I also enjoyed the airline food, having preferred DragonAir to Air China. Finally I got to see Lori! Lori and I took a cab back to her place which is really nice. We went out to Morton's for a drink and to catch up. We had a really nice view of Shanghai and the Pearl Tower. Shanghai seems more Western already. Beijing was just crazy! We also went to Shanghai Brewery and met up with some of Lori's friends, including Matt, Chloe, Ray, and Marie. Got to take Lori's dog Brutus out when we got back to her place later and watched a bit of a movie called Shanghai Calling. It was pretty cool! We were tired by then so we called it a night. No sign of Wallace but not too surprised he can't make this part of the trip either! Oh well.
