This year, I really saw a difference in the rock music that I listen to when compared to other genres like hip hop and dance. A few things happened this year. No new Massive Attack album yet, though the song Live With Me was released. The new Bjork Volta album was pretty terrible unfortunately. Garbage broke up. Finger Eleven released a new album and Paralyzer, which was huge, was literally the only good song. AFI's side project, Blaqk Audio, released a debut album Cex Cells that's actually really good! Blind Melon reformed with a new lead singer, Led Zeppelin played a one-off show in London with Bonham's son, and Rage Against The Machine performed for Coachella.

2007 TOP 10 ALBUMS

Google One Side Zero
1. One Side Zero - One Side Zero (6/5/2007)
Some of my favorite songs include Who Will Stop The Rain, Stay, Carry Us Away, and Cardboard Cutouts. I always feel lucky to know of this band. They are like a more radio friendly version of Tool with shorter songs and easier songs to get into. One Side Zero can do no wrong as both their albums are great!

Google Vast
2. Vast - April (10/16/2007)
I have a signed copy from Jon himself and heard Frog for the first time live as a last song on one of their tours. Everything Passes By, You're Too Young, and She Visits Me are among my favorites. I'll keep following Vast because I like their music, even though Jon can be a bit much sometimes.

Google Blaqk Audio
3. Blaqk Audio - Cex Cells (8/14/2007)
I like a lot of AFI's albums and was so excited to hear what Blaqk Audio could do differently. It was so fresh! The Fear Of Being Found is my favorite Blaqk Audio song!

Google Relient K
4. Relient K - Five Score And Seven Years Ago (3/6/2007)
What makes Relient K such an awesome band is their ability to mix punk rock, pop, and oldies with even acapella too. It's so refreshing to hear fun, catchy lyrics but nothing too cheesy. It's a really great album and recommended to fans of Yellowcard as well!

Google Clawfinger
5. Clawfinger - Life Will Kill You (7/27/2007)
Clawfinger was one of the first bands I really got into in the 90s. They were heavy and I liked their style. Though this album may be their last, and not particulary my favorite, it is still really great, and fits right in with their other albums. Life Will Kill You, Prisoners, and Little Baby are among my favorites.

Google Biffy Clyro
6. Biffy Clyro - Puzzle (6/4/2007)
I first heard Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies and thought it was so great I just had to hear the other songs by them! Who's Got A Match and Folding Stars are great too, I particularly like Now I'm Everyone. The album is just as cool as the cover!

Google Just Jack
7. Just Jack - Overtones (1/29/2007)
From start to finish, this album is a masterpiece - the only way Just Jack can do it. Fresh, fun, and exciting. It is sure to have many hits. Recommended for everyone!

Google Kosheen
8. Kosheen - Damage (3/23/2007)
I like Kosheen a lot and my favorite album is, of course, Resist. Damage and Chances are my two favorite songs.

Google LCD Soundsystem
9. LCD Soundsystem - Sound Of Silver (3/12/2007)
Someone Great is one of my favorite songs ever! I also like Get Innocuous. Although I'm not a huge LCD Soundsystem fan, I do think this is one of their best albums.

Google !!!
10. !!! - Myth Takes (3/5/2007)
Yadnus and Must Be The Moon are classic Chk Chk Chk songs.

2007 HONORABLE MENTIONS

Google The Nightwatchman
1. The Nightwatchman - One Man Revolution (4/24/2007)
This album was just okay. It just doesn't really work for me.

Google Finger Eleven
2. Finger Eleven - Them Vs You Vs Me (3/6/2007)
What a disappointment! After their 2003 album was so awesome, Paralyzer is literally the only good song.

Google Bjork
3. Bjork - Volta (5/1/2007)
Earth Intruders is really the only good song. I miss the old Bjork already! Medulla was her last album I really liked.

Google Chris Cornell
4. Chris Cornell - Carry On (5/28/2007)
Euphoria Morning was way better, but Cornell's cover of Billy Jean is still good.

Google Maximo Park
5. Maximo Park - Our Earthly Pleasures (4/2/2007)
Just not what it should, or could, be. The first album was way better.

Google Maroon 5
6. Maroon 5 - It Wont Be Soon Before Long (5/16/2007)
This was just an okay album but definitely nothing worth more than an honorable mention.

Google Nine Inch Nails
7. Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero (4/17/2007)
Overall, a pretty forgettable album that had no point, really.

Google Smashing Pumpkins
8. Smashing Pumpkins - Zeitgeist (7/10/2007)
This was pretty bad indeed! After a 7 year hiatus, you'd think it would be nothing short of amazing.

Google The White Stripes
9. The White Stripes - Icky Thump (6/15/2007)
Kind of a forgettable album for me, but I still like The White Stripes.

Google The Klaxons
10. The Klaxons - Myths Of The Near Future (1/29/2007)
I sort of listened to this album for a while, but then stopped. Gravity's Rainbow is a cool song, though.

Google Linkin Park
11. Linkin Park - Minutes To Midnight (5/11/2007)
Wow, what a good album! I'm not a huge Linkin Park fan, but they really showed their depths. What I've Done, Shadow Of The Day, are the more popular songs of course, but Valentine's Day, In Between, and The Little Things Give You Away are actually really good!

Google Client
12. Client - Heartland (3/21/2007)
I'm always a fan of a new Client album! Lights Go Out is a great track and so is Zerox Machine. The album as a whole lacks a consistent flow, but a few individual songs here and there are really good!
